Essential session storage, browser controls and the technologies used by this website.

Cookies Policy

Last Updated: October 20, 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Alkren LLC (“Alkren,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on alkren.com, including its subdomains and the customer portal (together, the “Website”). It forms part of our Privacy Policy.

2. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser so it can recognize your browser between requests. A session cookie is deleted when your browser session ends; a persistent cookie stays until it expires or you delete it. First-party cookies are set by the website you are visiting; third-party cookies are set by other services.

3. The Cookie We Use

The Website uses one cookie, and it is essential.

• Name: ALKRENSESSID
• Set by: Alkren (first party)
• Purpose: keeps your session between pages so the Website can protect forms against cross-site request forgery, complete sign-in and authenticator checks, and remember the organization you selected in the customer portal.
• Duration: a session cookie with no expiry date, so your browser normally removes it when the session ends (some browsers restore sessions). Signed-in sessions also end on our server after 30 minutes of inactivity or 12 hours in total by default.
• Protection: sent only over HTTPS (Secure), not readable by page scripts (HttpOnly), and not sent with most cross-site requests (SameSite=Lax).

The cookie is set when you first open any page, because the Website’s forms need it. It does not contain your password and is not used for advertising or analytics.

Because this cookie is strictly necessary to provide the Website you request, it does not require consent, and the Website does not show a cookie banner.

4. What We Do Not Use

The Website does not use advertising cookies, analytics or performance cookies, social media cookies, tracking pixels or third-party embedded content. Its scripts and fonts are served from the Website itself, and it does not use your browser’s local storage or session storage. Our emails are plain text and contain no tracking pixels.

To count views of knowledge articles and reference documents, and “Was this helpful?” responses, the Website records a daily-rotating, keyed hash on its own server instead of placing a cookie. The Privacy Policy explains this.

If we add a cookie or similar technology that is not strictly necessary, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires, ask for your consent before using it.

5. How to Control Cookies

You can view, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, for example in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari or Microsoft Edge. If you block or delete ALKRENSESSID, forms and sign-in will not work, and you may need to reload an unfinished form. Deleting the cookie does not delete information you already sent us; see the Privacy Policy for your rights. On a shared device, sign out and close your browser when you finish.

6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because the Website does not track you across sites or use advertising technology, browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals do not change how it works.

7. Changes

We will update this Cookie Policy when the Website’s use of cookies changes. The “Last Updated” date shows the current version.

8. Contact Us
